|
|
My not-always-reliable sources tell me that the probable vendor for the bad
pet food wheat gluten is either BinZhou-HongXing Tech or Wudi-ZhongLiang
Development in China. I hope they are wrong.
If either is the case, then the U.S. Food Supply is in question, since they
both are supposedly low bidder suppliers of refined wheat protein (gluten
products) for feedlot animals. Both a rodenticide and melamine have been
found in the tainted material from China. IF feedlot animals have consumed
the material AND can pass on the poison then they likely will have to be
destroyed. That will have a very bad effect on the economies of both the
U.S. and Canada to say the least, as well as on meat and poultry producers.
There is NO evidence that first tier wheat gluten (directly consumed by
humans) is contaminated with the poison since it is almost exclusively
produced in North America.
The FDA identifies the gluten source as China but refuses to identify which
vendor supplied the poisoned material. It is unclear whether the FDA is
protecting the Chinese vendor, whether they are just protecting "free
trade", whether they want to avoid a panic, whether they want to avoid
financial damage to meat producers, or whether it is just another case of
government incompetence. Take your choice.
Effort now needs to turn to examination of recent hospital and clinic
records in the U.S. and see how much renal disease and kidney failure have
suddenly spiked. It is also not a bad idea to examine recent data on
unidentified deaths in the meat and poultry industries. |

I hope your sources are wrong, but it's what I've been expecting.
First it was just a few batches, then practically every pet food
manufacturer was affected....then, as I predicted, the dry food, now
the treats, and I just said about a week ago to a friend, I won't be
at all surprised when it turns up in the food supply as well.
Jericho, anyone?
Oh, and if the FDA is protecting anyone, it's about money, nothing
else. If they're not taking kickbacks, then they must be dead. That
agency is the most corrupt on the planet. |

Today the FDA embargoed material from Xuzhou Anying Biologic Technology
Development Co. Ltd (also written as BinZhou-HongXing Tech).
FDA, please list which cattle and poultry feed facilites also received
gluten from that company. It won't remain secret very long, and the
political wisdom of keeping silent will be poor once the extent of the
problem comes out. |
