Any indications that the Collony Collapse is also affecting wild hives?

That's a question I'm interested in myself. I'm only aware of one wild
hive location in my locale(Laporte, CO). I had a friend check it the
other day, and he said it was empty. I don't know whether they simply
moved on, our harsher than normal winter killed them, or it was indeed
CCD. I will post again once I have had a chance to inspect it myself.

Update: I went to go check it myself and the colony is alive and well.
My guess is it was still too cold when my friend checked it. So at
least *this* hive wasn't affected.

Has there been an internet effort to map where, when, and what ... might

be related.
If we start mapping where when the type of hives and where are the local
crops...
Then start mapping this information a pattern might show up in the data.

Hi..
I am not a bee keeper or have any knowledge about bees.
I live in Oregon and have heard of the 'hive collapse' in the news.
Today I read it's occurring in Taiwan also.
I wish to only report what I saw. Perhaps it may be useful.
I observed three bees in the last week. I don't know if they were
honey bees but they looked like pictures I saw and bees I have saw in
the past.
The bees appeared to be 'sick'.
By this I mean, they were sluggish flying low and then would land and
walk..then fly and walk.
They all appeared 'disoriented' or 'blind'. Several times running
into
objects.
Again, just my observations.
I understand bees see in the 'ultra-violet'.
Perhaps measure the ultra violet now and compare to the past if
possiable. Also chemicals..
But I don't see how chemicals would effect such a large area of the
world. But maybe it could.
Maybe something happening on our planet that humans and animals
have'nt been effected yet or unaware with our senses?
Sun, atmosphere..etc??
Hope someone finds the answer.
I hope this helps..
Josh
